San Francisco to Sonoma

If you’re looking to spend a relaxed day in Wine Country, visiting wineries that are laid back but have high-quality wine, a trip to Sonoma may be just the ticket. Sonoma is the closest wine region to San Francisco, just 45 minutes from the City.

On your way to the beautiful rolling hills of Sonoma from San Francisco, you’ll pass over the Golden Gate Bridge. Your chauffeur will be happy to stop at the Vista Point for panoramic views of the City and the Bridge, and he/she will be happy to play photographer.

The town of Sonoma has a central Plaza – at 9 acres, the largest in California. It is surrounded by historic buildings, restaurants, interesting shops and over 25 tasting rooms. But don’t tarry there. There is so much more to see and do in Sonoma Wine Country.

Cornerstone Gardens is a fascinating outdoor museum, the only one of its kind in the U.S. Approximately 25 landscape architects have been assigned one third of an acre to do with as they see fit. The results are very imaginative and fun to enjoy.

Of course the wineries themselves – almost 400 of them – beg to be visited. Let us take you there in style with a knowledgeable guide at your side in Sonoma.

What Our Clients Say

Sue and I had an entirely excellent day on Thursday November 5 Our guide Abe was excellent – humorous, knowledgeable, friendly and he made the entire day. The choice of wineries was also excellent – small family business where we learned a lot about wine and about the industry in Napa. Thanks for a most enjoyable experience.
