Our guide Abe was the best! He was fun and engaging all day! The bus was a fun, relaxed party environment where we were able to play our own music and interact with the other people on the tour. The four wineries we visited were excellent and they were very nice to us as Abe had a personal relationship with each location. I really feel that my time in Napa was made better because of this tour and I would come back again if the chance arises. Thank you for the great experience and wonderful memories!
Absolutely a fantastic tour! Starting with the Reid Family winery. Special service and we loved the attention. Glen, our driver was a knowledgeable, interesting and a friendly person and took us to all of the right places. I highly recommend this tour.
1. Last one on the bus at each stop has to do a dance.
2. What happens on the bus, stays on the bus. (this is likely due to rule #1)
By the way, Abe was our phenomenal driver for our tour bus. He, along with all the fun loving members of our group, made for a really great time visiting the four wineries we did.
If you’re staying in San Fran they’ll pick you up from a central location and deliver you back to your hotel after the tour.
Tours and tastings at two of the wineries with no fee. The other two was a $10 fee for tasting. This must depend on which wineries are part of your tour.
All the bottles of water you can handle. Hydration was stressed because Abe says, “You gonna be drinkin'”
A light breakfast.
A picnic lunch consisting of meats, cheeses, rolls and sandwich fixin’s. There were also dolmas, caprese and pasta salads and chocolate covered strawberries. This was served in the serene setting of one of the wineries picnic areas. You could purchase your own bottle of wine and have it with your lunch.
We booked this in a package through the Wine Train website which, in hindsight, was not the way to go. I read other reviews that said they paid $99 for this tour. If this tour, by itself, is indeed only $99 it would be worth every penny.
